As several people have said "Well, do let us know when you're coming to Michigan.", I'm letting people know that it will be on September 24th-28th for the wedding of my Uncle. Ceremony's in Livonia, and I'll be staying with my grandparents in South Lyon.
This will be a major family event with many relatives, and they're naturally going to be occupying most of my time. Friday and Saturday are right out due to wedding rehearsal and an actual wedding. Thursday morning and Monday morning are the plane rides to and from Connecticut.
The optimum times for mongoose kidnapping for food/alcohol/tourism/White Castle would then be Thursday afternoon/evening or Sunday afternoon/evening; due to expectations of family time, not likely both. I should have access to my Grandfather's I-Think-It's-A-Buick, Could-Be-A-Lincoln, This-Thing-Is-HUGE car for transportation; but the Mom'Goose may have her own plans for the vehicle.
I'm quite open to ideas from folks in a reasonable driving distance! I'd happily do something medium-to-touristy like the Henry Ford Museum or the Detroit Zoo, or something as basic as "Come to our house and we shall drink."
