Southward the journey finally starts to wend. MRE's proved rather acceptable fare indeed, though the Shakespeare's pizza, Pei Wei Pad Thai, and Fuji sushi compensated for that. (Warp's graciously covering a lot of my local costs. Trying not to make him spend much.) Stopped at the Liberty Memorial in Kansascity on the way, and I must highly recommend it.. and excellent, serious memorial, educational and not too somber but very.. serious and good. And the views from up there are excellent. I got the feeling I was seeing all of Kansas City in one glance from there.

Managing to get time with Yarrick and Silverthorne while they're in town, that's been nice. Later int he week I'll get to see Basher and Buran. But it's mostly just good times to visit with Warphammer, learning this and that from him (Like how to replace a PCV Valve on my car), and just.. hanging out with him. It really does make one ache, that a friend this good should normally be so far away.

Further still, perhaps, if he moves to California as he seems be leaning towards. But, mm. Won't happen this week; this week we're here.
