More about Bess Eaton.
There's a fourth company in possible bid range: The Jan Companies, a local Burger King and Krispy Kreme 'franchise group'. They're obviously- if not admittedly - mulling a bid for the same reason Dunkin's is: keeping the Wendy's-owned Tim Horton's out. Bess Eatons would not be convertible to Krispy Kremes. I don;t know what a company like that would even do witht he brand.

Tim Horton's would close six Bess Eaton'sif they won the bid. I'll bet of the 'three in Connecticut', one would be the EB locale, and another Waterford in Route 1.

Hmmm. And according to the Providence Journal, the RI stores are: "Narragansett Pier Village; at 1237 Kingstown Road, South Kingstown; and at 240 Post Road, Westerly.".

In non-donut news, I now have a hand-me-down 'paintball marker' - that's 'paintball gun' without using the word 'gun' - from my Dad. Picked up a mask , CO2 and other implements at Super-Walmart, gettign ready to test it tomorrow. Well, later today.

From what I heard on the news on KOOL-101 the other day, the three stores in Connecticut that would be closed are: The Old Lyme store, across from the post office on Route 1, the Salem store, at the four corners, and the Groton store -- no specifics on that one. I'm guessing that the EB store would be the one in Groton, it would seem to me that the one on Route 1 does more business. Guess we'll find out soon enough.

Old Lyme and Salem Four Corners.. hmmm. Well, those are the westernmost ones, so I guess that tightens geographic range at first.. hmmm. It'd have to be Groton EB; that's one of the few Bess Eatons that's open short hours now (closes at 5pm daily), and their main buisness is the morning coffee/donut rush for EB first shift.
