Upgrades to Emma so far have included an additional 512M of RAM (up to 1 GB), a second 200GB hard drive, and a 128M PCI video card, the GeForce4 MX 4000. Now, I've ordered what should be the last upgrade: Going from the P4 Celeron 2.7Ghz processor to a P4 2.8Ghz. Hopefully, for $70, this will delay the purchase of a new system a few more months; the big question will be the increases to SecondLife. Well see if the PCI video card has been the bottleneck, or if it's the CPU; I'm sensing it's really going to be the former. Either way, Emma should be making its way to Mom's possesion later this year, as I look towards a new system.
If the CPU doesn't do the trick, then it might well be in April.
