Power was out from Thursday night until very late Friday.

On the bad side, this has put me behind in LJ, email, TKEP, podcasts, and plentiful other things.

On the good side, I cleaned my car, ran errands, got to hang out at Sarge's with Serenity and Pardus, and saw Pirates of the Carribean II.

On the bad side, I had a night of bleah overheated sleep, and a day of avoid the house with no A/C running.

On the good side, I did sleep, and in the morning was able to shower over Gar-Dog's house.

Overall: Semi-restful, productive... But no power at home means no real resting there, not in August heat.

In other news: Days off are shifting back to Friday and Saturday, which they haven't been since December. I've looked that gift horse in the mouth and I'm gonna ride that nag while it lasts.

Hee, another good thing is the power bill won't be as outrageous for one day's useage. Right? Right? :-)

This is what is known as the 'silver lining' yes. :) I'm hoping for some credit for 'spoiled food', most of which needed to be cleaned out of the fridge anyways. ;)

You get coverage for that? Here the attitude is "too damn bad, replace it yourself it isn't our problem".

On the plus side you did get stuff accomplished and maybe now, at least for a while, it won't be as blisteringly hot as it was. Hooray for having weekends back too, it'll probably seem weird for a while but I'm sure you'll adapt. :)

I shall make it clear that this is a very METAPHORIC horse I am talking about.

Also, i will make it clear I can thing of about seven seperate reasons for my shifting of days given.. two positive, two negative, three neutral. There is possibility of nagging. but after all due analysis...

It's SATURDAYS OFF.

I'd been spending longer hours with work, and more time with my better half, then I started playing this 14-day World of Warcraft trial software.

When my internet connection went down, even though it meant going into the office and, with California freeways as they are in the rain that meant an hour and twenty minute drive, it was still nice in that I actually exercise and paid bills that night. That is, got stuff done.

And Saturdays off can be good for social stuff!

Nooo! Don't give in to the demands of the Horde! ;)

Yeah, the 'forced breaks' can be kind of nice, indeed. I could use a break from internet things now and again.

Mind, I don;t want to have to take force breaks from air conditioning and being able to see the clothes in my closet.
