FM purge is complete, and..|
Could not find the player named Ebony.
Could not find the player named Glis.
Could not find the player named Jfox.
Could not find the player named Myrin.
Could not find the player named Regina.
Going to miss the cane-bapping panther who looked excellent in blue jeans. Going to miss the mouseyguy who said "How do?". Going to miss my brother, my friend. Going to miss an otterbabe. Going to miss that Jedi raccoon I fell in love with, the only girl Chiaroscuro's ever asked to marry him.

Damn, I didn't even realize a purge was imminent. Ah well, I don't want to start all over again. So be it.
You'll be missed, hon. If you weren;t using the character anyway, though... haven't lost much.
Drat it. I hate idle-purges. I hate losing friends, even ones I haven't seen in years. Maybe them especially.
So it goes. When I know there's a purge coming up, I copy my watchfor list and compare before and after. At least I've got a record of who has left.. so many folks slip away quietly.
I knew Jfox was ging to be heading off after conversations last year. Still.... yeah, it hurts. I'm going to try and track his email down, say a sort of goodbye.
He does have a website on www.damnedvulpine.com , and I folow his Blog, but.. not the same.
Yeah, I know it's not her thing anymore. I'm allowed to miss Regina anyways. ;)

Jfox? You mean JFoxGlove? And Ebony? Aaack!
Well I'm still about, kinda.
Yeah, Jfox, formerly JFoxGlov, rarely Jaundice, 'Ashes' for a few days of.. mm.. 'breakdown' is too strong a word. Just a nervous twitch, that was.
Glad you're still about, indeed.
I guess I should connect once in a while too. But I've basically fully emigrated to Tapestries at this point.
So it goes, ayup. Do like to see you now and then, but I know you're busy enough elsewhere. I miss Ladrona too, at that, send a howdy to Katy from me.
Whoops. I just noticed all Katy's alts got purged too. No more Ladrona. She's been way too busy in RL to MUCK anyways.
She still plays Travi on Taps, though. Maybe you can get a character and visit from time to time :) Travi and I (Harwich on Taps) run Merriam's Pub there (which is why I'm on FM so rarely these days).
Wow...I can't believe the list. My furry son, Jfox, gone. I feel like a bad 'mom' not knowing. :(
It's not your fault, Mom; The family just.. hasn't been there, the past year or so. I think we've all moved forward, Jfox especially. I treasure the good family times VR, especially the early ones while I was at Baylor... but, things change.
I wasn't even aware it had been that long since I last connected.
And what with the character only being 11 years old on there. And me probably not having a backup of the MPI anywhere.
Ahwell, things move on I guess :(
11 years sounds like a good run for a mousiefellow. If it's been this long.. as I've told Ebony, you've moved on. People do that.

Damn, why didn't I think of doing this? :P
How do you get the "Could not find the player named ______." message?
That was via a 'laston '. For names I didn't find between list #1 (Made before the purge) and list #2 (After the purge), just to verify they were in fact gone.
This is the one drawback to FurryMUCK's otherwise excellent watchfor program: Once someone is @toaded or purged, their database number and name slip invisibly from the watchfor list, so there's no true notice of their departure. It makes it harder to track when friends leave...
It's also frustrating they don't give an explicit list of who's in danger of idle-purging; Ebony and Glis, it sounds like, would have connected at least momentarily had they known about it. That might not bring them back to full life, but I like leaving options open as long as possible. (It honestly pains me to do the idle purges for spindizzy_muck.)
