The NYC trip on Thursday with warphammer and Everguest was a good thing indeed. Hard to properly encapsulate, because just listing the events of the day doens;t capture the good banter and conversation that made this a good day.
The events of the day included some fun, though. Getting mildly lost with EG in downstate New York, and delays from that counterbalancing Warphammer's delays. Looking up at the Empire State building witht he top shrouded in fog. Very good all-you-can-eat Japanese food. MoMA ended up being a pass due to the 45-minute line just to get *in*, but thankfully Central Park Zoo was enjoyable and the rain ended just as we were there. Warp got some excellent pictures there, as well as elsewhere in the day, and I got to rag on Everguest about bunny ears. Subways were $1 instead of $2 for some reason, making us quite happy. Times Square fairly nifty as always, and from there, got Warp back to Penn Station. White Castle on the way to get me to Port Authority for Greyhound back home.
Now, Friday was a rather miserable day, with something rolling through my system for quite possibly the sickest day I've ever spent. 12 hours were bathroom to bedroom and back, and not all that much sleep.
But Thursday more than made up for it. It's good to be with friends, and I hope all friends do know how much I appreciate 'em. One of my biggest worries has been, with the limits on my time, I'm slighting someone along the way with folks online and off. I try hard not to, so if anyone does feel rushed, undercommunicated, ignored, etc: I cherish friends all, and I'd never deliberately snub anyone.
Friends are good.
